This Week In Baseball History

Jun 20, 2018

For more than a century, every solstice, for the residents of Fairbanks, Alaska, has revolved around baseball. The Midnight Sun Game, as it's come to be known, is an annual tradition that has drawn some of the greatest ballplayers of the modern era. Even the great Barry Bonds, who was deemed not good enough to play in the game in 1983. Alaska native Henry Cole (@Phrozen_) takes us through the history and rituals of the game, as well as some of the exciting new opportunities for fans above the 51st parallel. Also, happy birthday to Hensley Meulens!
