This Week In Baseball History

Jul 28, 2022

The first official All Star Game took place in 1933, but 22 years before that, and 111 years ago this week, the Cleveland Naps played a collection of the American League's best in an exhibition to benefit the family of Addie Joss. Joss, one of the best pitchers in the very short history of the American League, had just passed away suddenly and tragically at the age of 31. Mike and Bill look bat at his too short life and career to find why everybody seemed to love the Cleveland ace.

Plus, happy birthday to Jack Clements and Don Wert!
