Frantic Frank Lane was one of the most influential figures in the Major Leagues during the 1950s, shaping two of the decade's powerhouse franchises and exchanging nearly 700 players with other organizations. But he didn't limit himself to just players, as 58 years ago this week, he sent his manager to the Tigers for their skipper.
